This is our 3rd re-visit to Villa Thanasis and we have, once again, loved it. The view is magical, at all times of day and we have sat for hours taking it all in. The villa itself is a perfect size for two or four but it is the outdoor space and pool that make it so wonderful. A simple walk down the track to the Harami Beach for a swim or into Lakka for food or the walk to the western beach for sunsets make this the perfect place to enjoy the peace and beauty that Paxos has to offer. We very much enjoyed watching the boats come and go into the harbour and the views were superb. Lakka is a charming village which was just opening up when we visited and we found everything we needed there. Credit cards are widely accepted and everyone is very friendly. Due to an accident we were restricted from walking to the village so taxis had to be used, but they were easily contactable.
Fabulous holiday once we got here! Villa is very easy and we spent most of the day here, lying on sun beds reading, drinking local beer and swimming in the pool. The views are sensational. The little goat track next to the villa is a little daunting but it is navigable and after a couple of days we were going down to the beach for an early swim then back up for the rest of the day and then down to the town at night on foot getting a taxi back after dinner. We didn't have a car and we were happy not to drive on the crazy roads! MyPaxosdriver.com is brilliant if you book the day before. Alexandra the host is a whirlwind and super helpful. She even took us grocery shopping on our first day to get us set up. Highly recommend Paximadi restaurant and Alessandros next door. Akis bar is fantastic food but a bit upmarket for us - we like rustic Greek food. Overall the holiday was what we wanted rest, relaxation, sun and good food. Highly recommend
